2012 Sauvignon Blanc
The Sauvignon Blanc from Mayacamas stands in a category all of its own, having been planted nearly forty years ago on some of the highest elevation, rockiest soils in the Napa Valley. A tiny amount of fruit is harvested from this west-facing block, low in potential alcohol, high in acidity, and packed with zesty aromatics on the palate. The 2012 Sauvignon Blanc presents notes of citrus peel, kiwi, and key lime. This wine can be enjoyed immediately, but as with all Mayacamas wines, will age for many years.
